When Wisvia receives a notification from monitoring system (eg. Nagios), it determines from the API call received to if this is a RESUME(status OK) or PROBLEM(status critical) alert. If it is a PROBLEM, Wisvia creates a new record and start tracking its status. This record and its status is called ticket. The concept is very similar to the ticket in Helpdesk and Incident systems.

In Wisvia, the status of a ticket can be one of the following:
- Pending (red)
- Recovered (green)
- Assigned (grey)
